Degrees and Certificates
MDiv - 88 credits
The Master of Divinity prepares graduates for a life of fruitful Christian service and leadership. Graduates are prepared to serve in pastoral or lay leadership, as well as serve in para-church or marketplace ministries. Courses taught in-person. Cohort-based. Designed to take 3 years to complete.
MATS - 36 credits
The Master of Arts in Theological Studies is a two year degree designed to prepare students for Christian ministry and theological research. It can be completed in a hybrid format, combining in-person instruction with online classrooms.
Bth - 88 credits
The Bachelor of Theology is a three year degree designed to prepare graduates for a life of fruitful Christian service and leadership. Follows the Master of Divinity curriculum. Courses taught in-person. Cohort-based. Open to students without an undergraduate degree.
+MATS - 24 credits
The Accelerated MATS degree is open only to graduates of the BTh or MDiv program at MBS. It allows students to complete the MATS degree in a shorter time-frame by building on the work they did in their previous degree.
CCS - 16 credits
The Certificate in Christian Studies is designed to lay a foundation of Christian beliefs through Bible survey and introductory theology courses. All credits count toward the BTh, MATS, or MDiv if students choose to pursue a degree. Can be completed in-person or online.
